I’m an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Mathematics and Biostatistics in the University of California, Los Angeles, teaching courses in the Program in Computing (PIC) and Master of Data Science in Health program. Previously, I was a postdoctoral scholar in the Computational Medicine and Biostatistics departments, working with Dr. Kenneth Lange and Dr. Hua Zhou. I received a Ph.D. in Statistics in 2020 from Seoul National University, advised by Dr. Joong-Ho Won.
My research interests include bioinformatics, statistical methods for large-scale data, and applying high-performance computing for statistical methods. I am interested in applying advanced computational techniques on large-scale data to perform statistical inferences and discover patterns. As a collaborator, I have been involved in projects on particle physics, cancer research, genetics, public health, and medical imaging data.
