I’m a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics, University of California, Los Angeles, teaching courses in the Program in Computing (PIC) and Master of Data Science in Health program. Previously, I was a postdoctoral scholar in the Computational Medicine and Biostatistics departments, working with Dr. Kenneth Lange and Dr. Hua Zhou. I received a Ph.D. in Statistics in 2020 from Seoul National University, advised by Dr. Joong-Ho Won.

My research interests include bioinformatics, statistical methods for large-scale data, and applying high-performance computing for statistical methods. I am interested in applying advanced computational techniques on large-scale data to perform statistical inferences and discover patterns. As a collaborator, I have been involved in projects on particle physics, cancer research, genetics, public health, and medical imaging data.
